Introduction
SES delivers exams securely through the Safe Exam Browser (SEB). This short guide explains how you, as a student, take an exam.
How it works
- You receive an 8-character access code from your teacher (e.g.
AB12CD34) - You open your institute's exam-entry page
- You enter the code
- You log in with your institute's SSO account
- A SEB configuration file is downloaded
- SEB opens and the exam loads
- You answer and submit
- You close SEB
Requirements
- Safe Exam Browser installed (safeexambrowser.org)
- A stable internet connection
- Your institute login credentials
Use SEB
You must use SEB — a normal browser is not allowed.
- Exam content is encrypted
- Answers auto-save every 30 seconds
- Tab switches and focus loss are monitored
- The timer counts down and submits automatically at time-up
